Overview

The LMCK-50 800/5A Accuracy Class 0.5 is a split-core (clamp-on) current transformer designed for accurate measurement of high AC currents without interrupting the primary circuit. With a primary rating of 800 A and secondary output of 5 A, and an error tolerance of ±0.5% under rated conditions, it suits precision metering and monitoring in demanding industrial, commercial or high-load applications.

Installation & Safety Notes

  • Ensure the conductor or busbar fits through the ~50 mm opening without strain, deformation, or damage to the conductor insulation.

  • The secondary circuit must always be terminated (connected to the measuring device or burden resistor); never leave the secondary circuit open while the primary is carrying current.

  • Secure the clamp fully, ensure mechanical integrity, avoid mechanical vibration affecting readings.

  • Avoid placing the CT in proximity of strong external magnetic fields that could distort readings.

  • Follow local electrical codes for grounding, insulation, enclosure, etc.
