Product Description

Overview

The LMCK-24 200/5A Accuracy Class 1 is a clamp-on (split-core) current transformer from the LMCK series, designed for accurate measurement of alternating current (AC) in electrical circuits. With a primary rating of 200 A and secondary of 5 A, this CT provides reliable current monitoring for industrial, commercial, or residential systems where a Class 1 accuracy is required.

Key Features

  • Model: LMCK-24

  • Primary Current Rating: 200 A AC

  • Secondary Current Rating: 5 A AC — giving a ratio of 200:5

  • Accuracy Class: 1.0 — meaning it will have a maximum permissible error of ±1% under rated conditions

  • Design: Split-core / clamp-on — easy installation around existing conductors without breaking the circuit

  • Core / Opening Size: Approx. 24 mm inner aperture (same “24” in LMCK-24 series suggests ~24 mm window) based on similar models from LMCK split-core CT line.

  • Housing: Flame-retardant plastic, moisture-protected, stable in performance, requires minimal maintenance.

  • Self-locking clamp: Facilitates safe, secure installation; portable and suitable for retrofits.

Technical Specifications

Safety Notes Secondary must not be open circuit when primary energized; ensure proper insulation and mounting

Applications

  • Energy monitoring and metering in switchboards, panels, and distribution boards

  • Retrofitting or adding measurement to existing circuits without power interruption

  • Use with power meters, PLCs, monitoring & control systems, SCADA systems

  • Monitoring of motors, lighting, HVAC, and other electrical loads where accuracy class 1 is sufficient

Installation & Safety Guidelines

  • Verify that conductor fits comfortably through ~24 mm opening; avoid forcing or bending conductor unnaturally

  • Always ensure secondary is terminated (connected to meter / load); never leave secondary open during operation—this can lead to dangerous overvoltage and damage

  • Mount securely; close and lock clamp completely

  • Avoid installing in high ambient temperature beyond spec, very humid or corrosive environments (unless rated)

  • Use proper wire / cable protection at the entry points to avoid wear

Benefits

  • Non-intrusive installation saves labour and risk (no disconnection needed)

  • Class-1 accuracy gives reliable readings for general metering / billing where higher precision isn’t necessary

  • Durable, low maintenance, consistent performance

  • Widely compatible with standard measurement devices
