Product Description
Overview
The LMCK-24 100/5A Accuracy Class 1.3 is a split-core (clamp-on) current transformer designed for easy, safe measurement of AC current in a live conductor without the need to disconnect wiring. With a primary current rating of 100 A and a secondary output of 5 A, this CT is suitable for energy monitoring, protection and measurement functions in industrial, commercial, or residential electrical systems.
Key Features
-
Model: LMCK-24
-
Primary Current: 100 A AC
-
Secondary Current: 5 A AC — ratio 100:5
-
Accuracy Class: 1.3 (C1.3), meaning ±1.3% error under specified conditions
-
Type: Split-core / clamp-on transformer — allows installation around conductors without having to break the circuit
-
Window/Core opening size: (if same as LMCK-24 standard) ~24 mm inner diameter (depends on variant) — large enough for many typical cable sizes.
-
Housing: Flame retardant plastic, moisture protected; stable performance, minimal maintenance required.
-
Self-locking clamp mechanism: Easy and safe installation around conductors.
Technical Specifications
Specification | Detail |
---|---|
Primary current rating | 100 A AC |
Secondary current rating | 5 A AC |
Transformation ratio | 100:5 |
Accuracy class | 1.3 (Class C1.3) |
Core / window size | ~24 mm opening (depending on exact LMCK-24 version) |
Housing / Enclosure | Flame-retardant plastic; moisture protected; self-locking clamp design |
Burden (max load on secondary) | To be specified by manufacturer or in datasheet |
Safety / insulation | Plastic case conforms to standard requirements; safe handling recommended; secondary must not be left open circuit when primary is energized |

Applications
-
Energy and power monitoring in switchboards, panels, and distribution boards
-
Feed into meters or monitoring devices (PLCs, SCADA, power analyzers)
-
Retrofitting existing circuits where opening the primary conductor is inconvenient
-
General protection, current over-load detection, load balancing
Installation & Use Notes
-
Ensure the conductor to be measured fits through the clamp opening comfortably without deformation.
-
Do not open the secondary circuit when the primary is energized. Always connect the secondary to a load (meter, burden resistor, etc.) to avoid dangerous voltages.
-
Mount the CT securely; ensure clamp is fully closed and locked.
-
Minimize external magnetic interference: avoid placing near large magnetic fields or heavy electromagnetic equipment unless shielded.
-
Ensure compliance with local electrical codes and standards.
Benefits
-
Non-intrusive installation reduces downtime and labour cost
-
Reliable measurements thanks to accuracy class 1.3
-
Durable build, minimal maintenance needed
-
Suitable for many standard measurement tasks
